Dr. David Pearl
Professor at the Ontario Veterinary College, Department of Population Medicine
Dr. Pearl’s research interests center on the use of quantitative methods to study the epidemiology of zoonotic and animal diseases and enhance disease surveillance. These quantitative methods include multi-level statistical modeling and a variety of statistical techniques designed for the analysis of spatial and molecular data. His projects have involved a variety of pathogens, such as E. coli O157:H7, Salmonella, Campylobacter and antimicrobial resistant organisms, in a number of host species including humans, cattle, dogs, poultry, swine, and wildlife.
